The idea behind this project is to offer a faster alternative to
tasks which require the user to move around with the mouse, open trees, scroll
etc. Because these alternatives should be faster than the classic ones I
called the project accelerators.
Current modules
For now the only module offered lets you open a file if you know
its name. You can enter the file name in a dialog box, a list with all matches
is displayed and you can select the files you want to be opened from that
list. If the filesystems you're searching through are not that large, you'll
find the files much faster than looking for them in some explorer tree.
